After a few days of rest, writing and giving darsanas at the home of Narahari dasa and Bhavatarini dasi, Srila Narayana Maharaja moved to the Hilo temple on the morning of February 4, 2005. He will stay there until the end of the hari-katha festival, at which time he departs for Oahu on Februrary 11th. When he arrived at the temple, he was welcomed by over 100 devotees. Foot bathing and arati was performed, and then Srila Maharaja called on devotees on some of Srila Prabhupada's disciples to speak. After that, he glorified Mula Prakriti didi, Prabhupada's senior disciple who was the establisher of the Hilo temple and who had recently left her body. And after that he spoke about Srila Prabhupada and his mission in the West, and how he himself had come only to remind everyone of Srila Prabhupada's message. At present he is giving nightly classes at public halls, and over 400 devotees are in attendence.
